Did you know that brands with updated visuals are 2X more likely to capture attention online? It’s time to give your brand the look it deserves with content that resonates with your target audience.
As marketers, we're always preaching to regularly refresh your content.
Consistent updates with new photos and videos of your team, space, and products are for keeping your website, social channels, ads, and LinkedIn profiles looking current and engaging.
(Time to swap out that 2015 headshot! 🙃)
Potential clients, investors, and franchisees are constantly checking you out online to get a feel for your brand’s vibe, so give them a great first impression!
Last month we had a brand shoot ourselves and it was our favorite one yet.
It’s so important to know that good photos and videos don’t just happen. You have to prep.
Here’s Our Franchise Brand Photoshoot Prep Checklist:
Content Creators:
We scoured our community for local photographers and videographers, seeking the right vibe and expertise to execute our vision.
Pro Tip: When choosing a photographer, look for someone with experience capturing the energy of a team. Your culture matters!
A Clear and Compelling Vision:
We created a pinterest board of the exact shots we needed to capture to keep us on track and create the most applicable images.
Your Homework: Start a Pinterest board and add visuals that represent your brand’s vibe. You’ll be amazed how this shapes your vision.
Take It Seriously:
We did all the prep things - spray tan, makeup artist, hair fluffing, prop gathering, wardrobe selection and more.
What may feel a little over done in person actually translates so well on camera. Find a make up artist or stylist that has experience in photo shoots. YES - even for the guys. A crisp, steamed shirt and a little tan on your face elevates your look
Alignment and Clarity:
We had a pre-shoot call to solidify the vision and made some serious magic on site with the team.
Make a list of must-have shots for the photographer, such as: solo headshots looking at the camera, full team shots, interaction shots, etc.
Planning your own shoot? Here are some essential shots:
Authentic individual headshots (not AI-generated/alien-looking graphics 👽)
Group shots that capture the culture and energy of your team
Action shots of collabing, unique workspaces, and daily activities
BTS footage to pull back the curtain and share the process
Product of the product" moments — show that you believe in what you're selling by using it yourself in the imagery
Oh and peep our newly refreshed site with these images and videos.
